
Grassroots Cannabis
/ Blues Brothers Collaboration
In late summer of 2020, Belushi’s Farm and Grassroots Cannabis collaborated on a very limited Blues Brothers themed strain release. It coincided with new dispensaries opening and made for great opportunities for live events.
My job was to create the packaging for the flower release as well as the look of the marketing campaign that lived on social media and in-person displays. Having grown up near Chicago and as a fan of the Blues Brothers film, I was thrilled to be the lead creative on this project.

I created this hero illustration that was used throughout the campaign. It’s a great example of how illustration can breathe new life into a familiar image.
A Limited Engagement
To celebrate this release several in-store events were planned. Jim Belushi was present and we were even able to bring in the Bluesmobile to some events!
